In reading the manual regarding 'Engine Break-in Recommendations', can anyone decipher what they mean by this statement? 'Drive moderately during the first 300 miles (500 km). After the initial 60 miles (100 km), speeds up to 50 or 55 mph (80 or 90 km/h) are desirable.' Did they mean to say that ' During the initial 60 miles.instead of ' After the initial 60 miles'? It appears to me they worded it incorrectly. That is silly phrasing. Many around various Jeep forums are complaining about that. Bottom line: they want you to stay below 50 mph for the first 60 miles.

It appears to me they worded it incorrectly.I don't see what's wrong with it. It's basically saying from 0 miles to 60 miles on the odometer, drive on residential/city roads (less than 50-55mph), and then after 60 miles, freeway/highway speeds are ok, followed by after 600 miles, you can drive it more aggressively if you choose. I think it's worded fine, but then again, I'm a weird dude.
