This unique 2D laser system integrates a rotary chuck for tube and pipe cutting with the ability to tap and chamfer in a single setup on one machine. It is built on Mazak’s compact hybrid platform that is known for its proven dependability and flexibility. It features a proprietary vibration dampening frame and integrated laser resonator that ensure stable, high-accuracy cutting. The constant-beam length construction provides uniform cutting performance across the machine table.
The new Opti-Pod offers automated setup features that help minimize preparation time and improve extended unattended operation. These are intelligent functions designed to both automate and help maintain optimized machining for increased productivity. The STX Champion is built on Mazak’s proven hybrid platform known for rigidity and durability. The 1,786 pound workpiece capacity enables you to cut full 0.87” thick 5’x10’ CRS plates. The hybrid with gantry head construction provides better support across the entire machine travel and easy access for loading including using a crane from above. STX Champion is available in 2.5kW configuration.
